Conner Prairie Apple Store Opens • Current Post
Conner Prairie Alliance vice president of communications Lori Goldsby has called the Conner Prairie Apple Store business “stable” since it opened on September 15. The store raises funds for the Conner Prairie Alliance. This is an apple market selling edibles and holiday-themed decor open from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The store will operate until October 31.
The store used to be closed on Mondays. This year, it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays due to a shortage of volunteers. It is run entirely by volunteers.
“We’ll have the traditional and delicious hand-dipped caramel apples and the nutty ones, and then we’ll have a chocolate dipped in a caramel apple,” Goldsby said. “We have fresh apple and pumpkin donuts and apple donuts. We have apple pie and we have a lot of our famous apple cider slushies. These are our strengths. “
The Conner Prairie Alliance will use the funds to repay a three-year commitment as a sponsor of Merry Prairie Holidays and pay for a new playground. The Apple Store has been open every year since 1985, except in 2020 due to the pandemic. of COVID-19.
Conner Prairie tickets are not required to visit the Apple Store, which is outside the museum and has its own parking lot.
The Apple Store will be open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in October, when Conner Prairie presents his Headless Horseman Festival. A Headless Horseman Festival ticket is required to access the park.
