Greenberg Turkeys are back for the 2021 holiday season
TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – After a fire destroyed most of its inventory last November, causing the business to shut down for the holiday season last year, Greenberg Smoked Turkeys are back and ready for 2021.
“We’re back. After our fire last November, we’ve put everything up a gear and we want to be the centerpiece of this holiday table again,” said Sam Greenberg of Greenberg Turkeys.
Sam Greenberg of Tyler’s Greenberg Smoked Turkeys said high speed is in the works for the 200,000 turkeys they expect to sell this holiday season.
“We’ve built our building, we have our new freezer facilities, our new shipping facilities and it’s within 10 days of the end. The equipment is coming, our shipping line is there, the forklifts, we are getting ready to go. We smoke our turkeys as we prepare for the holiday season, ”Greenberg said.
He said last year before the fire the order numbers were staggering, and he thinks this year will be the same.
“We had never seen orders like the ones we received last year, mainly due to COVID. Instead of having four families around a table, they would send them to the four families. It was crazy what was going on, and we are already seeing signs of the same this year, ”he said.
Greenberg said he was grateful to everyone who helped prepare Greenberg’s smoked turkeys for the holiday season after the fire.
