Learn about the spooky history on ghost tours in Bonanzaville
Bonanzaville invites people to take a historic night tour of the Pioneer Village and hear some truly haunting stories from North Dakota’s past.
WEST FARGO, ND (KVRR) – Bonanzaville invites people to join a historic night tour of the Pioneer Village and hear some truly haunting stories from North Dakota’s past.
For ghost tours in Bonanzaville, groups of people will walk through six buildings and hear historical tales of a dark history that took place in Fargo, Cass County or the Red River Valley.
“Because it’s something that a lot of people don’t know. People want to hear about the greatest story in things, it’s an opportunity for people to hear about the darker side of history that has happened across the state like the murders, hangings , suicides, things like that, ”Curator Kaitlyn Anderson said.
Bonanzaville serves as the setting and tour guides share disturbing stories from the past that have remained in the shadows.
“It really sets the scene because it’s nighttime so we walk around with flashlights, you know it’s really nice for visitors because it adds that scary feeling that we walk through all the buildings and that is completely dark, ”added Anderson, who is the curator for the tours.
Many stories told reveal a haunting, dark side of North Dakota that has long been buried.
“It adds a spooky feel since October and Halloween is approaching and we usually have a lot of movement and activity and it’s really weird for guests to walk through and explore and we open up the barriers for them to go beyond of the tour, ”Anderson said.
The tour encourages people to wear a mask.
Ghost tours are offered on Friday and Saturday evenings. Each visit costs $ 35 and we have more information here.
