Sharing geosciences at the Victoria Gold Mining and Exploration Forum
Gold production in Victoria is at its highest level in over a century and the outlook remains positive with approximately 75 million ounces to be discovered in northern Victoria.
To promote investment in mineral exploration, the Victoria Geological Survey (GSV) continues to share information on under-explored mineral resources across the state.
The GSV will present at the Victoria Gold Mining and Exploration Forum (August 18-19, 2021). Director of Mineral Geoscience, Cameron Cairns, will brief industry and investors on existing data and resources. Mr. Cairns will also describe where the GSV is focusing its acquisition of pre-competitive geoscience data to gain a better understanding of Victoria’s geology.
Hosted at the Rendezvous Hotel in Melbourne, the Victoria Gold Mining and Exploration Forum will examine the latest developments in gold exploration and mining in Victoria. Topics will include the perspectives and engagement of traditional owners, community expectations, solutions to industry challenges, mine rehabilitation and the latest technologies.
Industry Insights will also be provided by the Minerals Council of Australia and Victorian-focused explorers such as Kirkland Lake Gold and Navarre Minerals.
